Serving

There are lots of reasons people volunteer at Restoration. It’s a great way to get to know other people. It makes you a part of what’s happening at church, instead of being just a consumer. It’s a way to use your particular talents for the good of the church community. It’s a way to worship God and serve others.

We have volunteer opportunities in lots of areas, drawing on different skills and requiring various time commitments.

Declaration of Baptism

Baptism with water and in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is required for membership at Restoration. (Such a baptism would be standard in almost all Christian churches.)

Declaration of Intent for Membership

In choosing to join Restoration, you are choosing to live in a community shaped by these core values and to hold these commitments in common. Core Values Being members means that we embrace the culture of community and seek to be immersed in and transformed by it. The culture of Restoration is defined by the Gospel -- the good news that Jesus, through his life, death, and resurrection, rescues us from our sin and reconciles us to God. We look to these core values to shape our life together: The Gospel changes everything. The Gospel is catalyzed in our lives by community. The Gospel is proclaimed by Word and Sacrament. The Gospel calls us to lives of coherence and responsibility. Common Commitments Being members means that we belong to each other by holding certain commitments in common. As members, we commit to these things: We are baptized believers. We are baptized with water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that our rescue and deliverance from death and sin is found only through the unique, finished work of Jesus' death and resurrection. We seek to follow the example of Jesus by living lives of dependence on the Father through the Holy Spirit. We will grow in our relationship with the Lord by disciplines of personal piety. We are intentionally giving our time, talent, and treasure to building God's kingdom through Restoration. Time: By God's grace and provision, we commit to worshiping regularly at Restoration. Talent: By God's grace and provision, we are using our gifts and abilities to serve those in our community and beyond. Treasure: By God's grace and provision, between our household and the Lord, we are making annual financial commitments to Restoration. We are regular participants in Restoration small groups.

By typing my full name below, I commit to being a member of Restoration Anglican Church and, by God's grace, to live to the best of my ability according to these core values and common commitments. I understand this will be contingent upon my meeting with clergy/Vestry.
